what our clients have to say

“Sari has been unquestionably the most instrumental figure of influence in my journey of growth as a teacher. As an educational consultant, Sari has been a significant catalyst in fostering positive growth and change in the classrooms here at Norwalk High School.”

— Kim Castro, Language Arts

“As a new teacher, I’ve benefited greatly from Sari’s mentoring. For more than dispensing information, she actively helps me implement practical ideas through observation and follow-up.”

— Narcis Brasov, Spanish

“Nonverbal Classroom Management has been a tremendous resource in my classroom. Management and discipline make sense now. Being able to be an effective manager and teacher is what students will benefit most from, and this is what this program teaches.”

— Kelly Gash, Special Education

“The tips and methods have been great and I have valued and used the feedback from Sari. I also believe that my presentation style has improved with Sari and I am looking forward to more improvement next year.”

— Gordon Talge, Math

“Schools say they want to create safety nets for their students, but they don’t for their teachers. In a sense this creates a safety net for teachers because I don’t feel I’m being judged as a teacher. I feel that I’m being helped, that someone cares about how I am doing and the safety net is to make sure that one, I don’t get into a depression about myself, or two, that I’m not afraid to fail and ask for help. It feels nice and comfortable to be able to come and talk about my teaching. It’s a good way to stop teacher burn-out.”

— Jeff Tebelak, Language Arts and Senior Projects

“The strategies were so simple they made sense, but most of all, the strategies were very effective.”

— Frank Lemus, Math

“This program has helped by,

  • presenting silent cues that save your voice for peaceful teaching,
  • providing quick, effective strategies to control excess noise and other distractions,
  • showing that pointing is better than repeating instructions,
  • helping more students become involved in learning,
  • giving more opportunities to adjust your teaching methods to reach more students,
  • providing for more teachable moments and less voice strain,
  • and extending teaching careers, by helping avoid bitterness, to keep the dream alive.”

— Larry Soderling, teacher, Math

“Sari really helped me get on track as far as proper presentation and how to get students to ‘go visual.’ This eliminated many of the classroom management issues I used to have and I do not miss having to repeat myself over and over.”

— Fred Pineda, Special Education

“I am very impressed with the support this consultant has given for the new teachers at Norwalk High. This daily on site support of new teachers at Norwalk High has made a BIG difference in their classroom management.”

— Chris Forehan, Area Supervisor, Norwalk/La-Mirada Unified School District

“Sari de la Motte is a very talented and very well-trained consultant. Her skills and expertise get results. She has performed an invaluable service to the staff at Norwalk High School.”

— Frank Zepeda, Former Principal, Norwalk High School

“Nonverbal Classroom Management training has made me a more effective teacher and my students more effective learners. The techniques aren’t officially proven to work with special education students, but they do with mine (MR, communication disordered, autistic). My students are calmer and more receptive to learning when I use these techniques. In addition, I have been less stressed and my teaching skills have improved. Using nonverbal skills in my classroom also provides my students with social skills training (reading social cues, learning about learning styles, etc.) that will help them (and any student) in high school and on the job. New teachers especially would benefit from this training. I believe this program should be part of teacher training at the college level and intermittently refreshed during a teacher’s career. This training has definitely been worth it to me!”

— Robin Rose, Special Education

“I wanted you to know how much I enjoy using Nonverbal Classroom Management in my classroom. I am continually amazed at how quickly I noticed the results of your training seminars on the behavior of the students in my classroom. ABOVE (Pause) Whisper and Freeze Body really work!!! I feel like I have more control and understanding of my student’s behavior and I can choose when I want to ‘turn up’ the volume and enthusiasm and choose when to ‘turn it down’. My students seem to enjoy it as well because they can easily understand and follow my directions. Gone are the days of confusion; ‘what do I do next?’. I know that it is having a positive impact on me and on the students that I am teaching. I’m looking forward to continuing my training with you, and I tell every fellow educator I meet that they have got to get this training for their building!”

— Denise Cooney, 6th Grade Language Arts & Social Studies

“I studied the videos on the website and tried it the next day. The video really sold me on the class. The stuff works. It’s such a relief to know I have a way to avoid confrontations and escalations. I complained a lot about getting up early on a Saturday to come to this workshop, but from the first 10 minutes was so engaged and glad I came. It was worth the time and money.”
